LOWELL, Mass – The University of Hartford volleyball team finished the regular season with a four set road victory over UMass Lowell (25-21, 25-22, 24-26, 25-20) on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks finish the 2014 season with the most wins since 1994, posting a 17-13 overall record and 5-7 in conference play.
Senior Sareeta Nethersole, junior Chandler Goodwin, and freshman Katy Henchy all notched double digit kills against the River Hawks. Nethersole led the Hawks with 15 kills while pitching in five assists and one service ace. Henchy finished with a team best .320 hitting percentage with 10 kills on 25 attempts and two errors while Goodwin racked up 13 kills. Senior setter Jackie Tamburri orchestrated the offense assisting 44 times while adding a service ace.
As a team, the Hawks posted 69 digs led by Nethersole with 22 and Tamburri with 13. Nethersole's double digit performance accounted for her 20th double-double of the season. The Hawks tallied eight total blocks led by senior Kathryn Gawrych, recording the lone team solo block and four block assists.

· The Hawks finish the 2014 season with the most overall wins since 1994, when they posted a 27-14 record.
· Senior outside hitter Sareeta Nethersole finished with her 22nd double-double of the season

Henchy also contributed two block assists to finish the season with 71 for second all-time in a single season.
· Senior Kathryn Gawrych finished with a .211 hitting percentage to add to her .267 overall for the season to place her second all-time for a single season.

SET ONE
· The Hawks combined for 16 total kills led by Goodwin with five.
· Henchy led the Hawks with a .333 hitting percentage with three kills on six attempts and one error.
· Nethersole added three kills offensive while leading the defense with 11 digs.

· Gawrych finished with a set high .500 hitting percentage with four kills while Nethersole added a .400 hitting percentage on four kills in ten attempts.

· The Hawks battled the River Hawks falling short in overtime for their lone set loss.
· Nethersole led the offense with five kills followed by Goodwin with four.
· Senior Maya Louis posted a perfect hitting percentage on one kill.
· Seven different Hawks combined for 12 digs throughout the set.
SET FOUR
· The Hawks recorded a .265 hitting percentage on 34 attempts with just one error.
· Louis led the Hawks with six kills in nine attempts for a .556 hitting percentage.
· Tamburri accounted for all nine team assists in the set.
· Defensively, the Hawks were led by Henchy with four digs followed by five Hawks with two apiece.
· Gawrych led the defense at the net with three block assists to add to the Hawks total five in the set.
