Paulina Modestow (15) and Rachel Moll (10) also finished in double figures, while Astrid Mangual delivered a career-high 46 assists in the win. The Hawks hit .384 as a team in the victory, which was head coach Mitch Kallick's first for Hartford.

KALLICK'S TAKE:
"I'm really proud of how this team has fought and gotten better throughout the course of the season. The girls have come to practice each day working to get better and we've seen the results in our gym. It's great for the team to finally get the win they definitely deserve."

SET ONE:
The two teams came out even in the opening set, with the score knotted at 6-6 early on. The Hawks then ran off three in a row, the final on a Modestow kill to make the lead 9-6. But the Bobcats rallied to knot things up, and the teams traded blows all the way to a 16-all score. QU then rallied with five of the next six points to take a 21-17 lead, but the Hawks came back, cutting it to 24-22 after a block by Asha Wafer and Moll. But a service error ended the set, with the Bobcats taking it 25-22.

SET TWO:
The second set was even as well, with the teams knotted up at 6-6. The Hawks then went on a run, rolling off four in a row, with kills by Modestow and Henchy bookending the rally. Hartford pushed the advantage all the way to 16-10 after a Modestow/Moll block, but Quinnipiac was able to cut it to just two at 18-16. The Hawks were able to pull away, though, netting seven of the last nine points to take the set 25-19.

SET THREE:
In the third, the Hawks came soaring out of the break, opening up an 11-3 lead on the strength of four team blocks and a pair of services aces from Erinn Lavelle. Quinnipiac was unfazed, though, posting six straight points to cut the deficit to 11-9. The Hawks were able to stem the tide, but the Bobcats continued to whittle away at the lead, fighting their way back to a 16-all tie. After the teams traded points to 18-18, the Hawks ran off five straight points, all on kills, to take a 23-18 edge, eventually garnering a 25-21 victory.

SET FOUR:
The Hawks found themselves in a quick hole, down 7-2 in the early going, but refused to go quietly. Slowly, Hartford mounted a charge, getting the score within two at 12-10. Another surge cut it to one at 15-14, and the Hawks finally tied the set at 18 on a Modestow kill. The Bobcats were able to pull back ahead 22-20, but a service error gave Hartford the momentum it needed, as the Hawks ran off five straight points to end it, the last on Henchy's 17th kill of the night. Hartford hit a whopping .526 in the final stanza.

UP NEXT:
The Hawks continue their road swing with a match at UMass Lowell on Sunday, Nov. 8. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
