THE LEAD:
Jason Agresti hit a walk-off grand slam as Binghamton used a huge comeback in the bottom of the ninth to topple the Hartford baseball team on Friday afternoon. The Bearcats scored nine runs in the final frame to post the victory.

Sam McKay pitched seven shutout innings in a no-decision for the Hawks, while Aaron Wilson hit a two-run homer and Ashton Bardzell went 2-for-4 with two runs for the offense.

Hartford will take on the winner of this afternoon's game between Stony Brook and UAlbany in an elimination game on Friday night. First pitch is tentatively slated for 7 p.m. (but likely will start later).

HOW THEY SCORED:
• Just as it was in Thursday's ballgame, the pitchers were both on early, with Binghamton's Jake Cryts and McKay going zero for zero into the fifth.
• The Hawks bats got rolling in the top of the fifth, though, starting with a T.J. Ward single that was followed by an RBI double off the bat of Bardzell to make it 1-0.
• After a flyout, Wilson delivered a sac fly to left to score Bardzell for a 2-0 lead for the Hawks.
• Hartford then rallied with two outs, as David MacKinnon singled to left and came all the way around from first on Chris DelDebbio's roller to the right-center field gap that pushed the lead to 3-0.
• Erik Ostberg followed by drilling a single up the middle to make it 4-0 at the end of the frame.
• McKay found himself in trouble in the bottom of the fifth, but got an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play with the bases loaded to emerge unscathed.
• The score remained 4-0 into the seventh, when Bardzell singled to start the inning, and two batters later, Wilson drilled a ball over the wall in left center for his third home run of the season, a two-run shot, to make it 6-0.
• The score remained that way until the ninth when the Bearcats made their momentous comeback.
