THE LEAD:

The University of Hartford men's drop 2-0 decision UMass Lowell to close out the 2017 season on Wednesday night. UMass Lowell's Alejandro Osorio netted a pair of goals en-route to the 2-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The River Hawks got on the board early, as Jakov Basic sent a centering pass to Osorio who sent a bullet to the far-right corner of the net.
  • Hartford's best opportunity of first half came in the 26th minute. Off a long cross from Mike Barry, Nyrik Antoine sent a header at the net, that sailed just high.
  • The River Hawks extended their lead to two early in the second half. After Hartford keeper Jimmy Slayton punched away Owen Miller's attempt, Osorio chipped in the rebound.
  • Moments later, off a goal kick from Jimmy Slayton, Hartford went on a fast-break where Rasmus Karlsson serviced a ball to Ryan Innes. Innes was able to get the shot off despite Lowell keeper Austin Kroll coming of the box to contest it, however the attempt went just over the cross bar
