THE LEAD:
Dylan Jinks scored three goals and added four assists as the Hartford men's lacrosse team used a huge third quarter to post a lopsided win over Jacksonville, 15-3, on Saturday.
Justin Huggins added four goals and an assist and
Griffin Feiner netted a hat trick as well in Head Coach
Ryan Martin's first win at the helm of the Hawks.

Ryan Vanderford made four saves in his first appearance for Hartford this season. Ben Gleichenhaus made an impressive 16 saves in a losing effort for the Dolphins, who also got two goes from McLean Chicquen.

THE TURNING POINT:
The Hawks scored three goals in a span of 19 second in the third quarter, turning a tight, 5-2 game into a lopsided advantage for the home squad. Huggins started the rally by finishing a pass from
Trevor O'Brien at 10:23, then a pair of quick
Dylan Protesto faceoff wins turned into goals for Jinks, one at 10:11 and the other at 10:04, to make the lead 8-2. The trio of tallies was part of a string of nine straight for the Hawks.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Protesto struck just seven seconds into the game with his first goal of the season to put the Hawks up 1-0.
- Huggins followed with goals assisted by Jinks at 10:57 and 2:33, as the Hawks defense delivered strong play to keep the home squad ahead 3-0.
- Chicquen scored a man-up goal with :06 left in the first and then added a second tally just 52 ticks into the second to cut it to 3-2.
- Huggins pushed the lead to 4-2 at the half after converting a quick stick in transition on a feed from Jaedon Henderson.
- The Hawks held possession with a barrage of shots early in the third, culminating in an Alec Brown goal to make it 5-2.
- Hartford used its three-goal quick strike for an 8-2 advantage.
- Griffin Feiner, Jinks and Dulin closed out the quarter with goals at even intervals to send the Hawks to the fourth ahead 11-2.
- After Feiner netted his second goal of the game, JU snapped the Hawks' run with a Dwayne Mattuchik tally to cut it to 12-3.
- Doug Biondi, Conor Van Duzer and Feiner closed out the scoring with the last three goals to result in the final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jinks's two goals in seven seconds marked the fastest by a Hawk since Huggins scored three goals in 15 seconds (and two in six seconds) against Holy Cross last year.
- Protesto went 13-for-21 at the X, recording seven ground balls in addition to his first goal of the season. His goal seven seconds into the matchup is tied for the 13th fastest to start a game in NCAA history, joining five other players.
- Hartford held a whopping 47-11 advantage in shots, led by Brown and Feiner (nine each). The Hawks outshot the Dolphins 20-0 in the third and 32-2 in the second half.
- Jinks's four assists were one off his career high, when he had five against Binghamton on April 2, 2016.
- Huggins had his third-straight hat trick for the Hawks, while Feiner's was his second of the year. Hartford had three players with hat tricks for the second-straight contest.
- After failing on two of its first three clears, Hartford was successful on each of its last 17 clear attempts.
- Each team had just one penalty, with Jinks being called for a hold in the first and Jacksonville's Granite Porcher being called for an illegal body check. Each penalty resulted in an extra-man goal for the opposition.
