• The Great Danes expanded their lead in the second with a two-out grand slam by Petzold that made it 5-0.
• UAlbany tacked on what turned out an important insurance run in the bottom of the sixth on a two-out RBI single from Caitlin Cooper.
• Hartford rallied in the top of the seventh, beginning with an
Elizabeth Newkirk double sending
Kristen DeCiantis to third and a wild pitch plating the sophomore.
• After a
Marisa Ferguson walk, DeMarco launched her second homer of the year to cut the lead to 6-4.
• Wilkerson followed with her team-best fifth longball of the season to make it 6-5, but that was as close as the Hawks would get.
