HOW IT HAPPENED
- A redirected shot by a Hartford defender put Stony Brook up in the 10th minute, before Serge Gamwanya, who finished with a game-high three points, doubled the lead in the 14th minute on a direct kick.Â
- The Seawolves scored three more times in the first stanza to take a five-goal lead into the halftime break.
- Hartford turned around to outshoot the Seawolves, 4-3, in the second half and nearly missed finding the back of the net on a header by Aitor Elena out of a corner kick.
- Stony Brook tacked on one more goal in the closing minute, finishing off the scoring on a strike by Matias Prando.
