Mikey Pettway led all scorers with 24 points for the Golden Bears, who dip to 2-4 overall. Hartford, which returned home after a five-game road swing, improves to 2-5 with the win.

Jumping out to an 11-2 lead within the first four minutes, the Hawks pushed ahead by 24 points (35-11) behind the strength of a 22-2 run that began with a pair of free throws by senior
J.R. Lynch with 12:24 to go in the half. Carroll, who hit double figures 10 minutes into the contest, had 14 points at halftime as Hartford took a 45-19 lead into the locker room.
Hartford heated up from behind the arc in the second half, knocking down six within the first half of the stanza. Senior
