Men's Soccer Falls Short at No. 12 Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. – The Hartford men's soccer team fell to No. 12 Wisconsin on Monday, dropping a 2-0 decision to the Badgers at McClimon Complex. Hartford drops to 0-1-1 with the setback, while the Badgers move to 1-1.

  • Senior Duncan Storey scored the first goal for Wisconsin in the 13th minute, with assists from rookies Olafur Olafsson and Andrew Akindele.
  • Junior Noah Leibold scored on a penalty kick for the Badgers' final goal in the 82nd minute.
  • Senior Xahne Reid led the game with four shots, putting two on goal.
  • Junior Jimmy Slayton recorded four saves between the posts for the Hawks.
  • The Hawks trailed the Badgers in shots, recording nine on the game to Wisconsin's 14.
