Lucas Scores Game-High 18 Points as Women's Hoops Falls at harvard, 53-44

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Junior Jada Lucas scored a game-high 18 points as the Hartford women's basketball team fell to Harvard on the road at Lavietes Pavilion, 53-44, on Friday evening. With the loss, the Hawks fell to 0-5 on the year, while the Crimson improved to 4-2.

Despite the Hawks closing the first quarter with an 11-10 lead, the Crimson outscored the Hawks 20-4 in the second quarter to take a 30-15 lead into the half. Lawrencia Moten led the way for the Hawks with six points in the first half.
 
After falling behind by as much as 20 points, Hartford closed the third quarter with a 10-3 run to cut the deficit to 40-27 heading into the fourth quarter. However, the Crimson responded with an 11-2 run of its own to push its lead to 22 with 6:50 left in the contest. The Hawks used the final six minutes of the contest to close the contest with a 15-2 run, but it was not enough as the Crimson held on for the 53-44 win over the Hawks.
