PRINCETON, N.J. — Sophomore
Jordan McLemore scored a game-high 18 points, as the Hartford women's basketball team fell to Princeton on the road, 73-42, at Jadwin Gymnasium on Tuesday evening. With the loss, the Hawks fell to 0-10 on the year, while the Tigers improved to 8-1.
PRINCETON 73, HARTFORD 42
The Tigers used the opening 4:30 of the contest to go on a 12-4 run, before Hartford cut the deficit to 13-11 with 1:47 to go in the first quarter. The Tigers closed the first quarter with a 7-0 run to take a 20-11 lead into the second quarter. The Hawks were able to cut Princeton's lead to 24-20, before the Tigers closed the quarter with a 7-0 run to take a 31-20 lead into the half.
The Tigers maintained momentum in the third quarter, using the opening 4:10 of the half to go on a 17-6 run, pushing their lead to 48-26. The Tigers worked the lead up 58-33 heading to the fourth quarter and eventually held on for the 73-42 win over the Hawks.
