WEST HARTFORD, Conn. –Hartford softball dropped the final game of its first America East series of the season to Stony Brook, 9-0, Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore
Danielle Rocheleau went 2-2, as the Hawks fall to 11-12 overall and 1-2 in the America East. Junior Melissa Rahrich finished with a game-high four RBI, as the Seawolves improve to 14-9 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
STONY BROOK 9 HARTFORD 0 (FIVE INNINGS)
Stony Brook jumped out in front from the start, scoring three runs in the top of the first behind a two-run double by Rahrich and a RBI single by sophomore Nicole McCarvill .
The Seawolves went on to score at least one run in each inning and held Hartford to only three hits to take the rubber match, 9-0.
