WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – In the final game of the weekend series, Hartford fell to Maine, 5-2, in America East action Sunday afternoon.
Freshman
Haley Cassidy had a team-high two hits, as the Hawks fall to 15-212 overall and 3-8 in the America East. Senior Laurine German registered two RBI, as the Black Bears improve to 9-22 on the season and 2-7 in the conference.

After Maine scored five runs through the first three innings, Hartford attempted to rally in top of the fourth. With Cassidy on second and senior
Kylie Dazalla on third, freshman
Emma Curry came to the plate and legged out an infield single, scoring Dazalla. Cassidy came around to score on the same play after a throwing error by the third basemen, making the score 5-2.
The Hawks then brought the tying run to the plate in the top of the seventh, but could not capitalize, as Maine took game three, 5-2.
NEWS AND NOTES
- Freshman Julianna Kocenski (9-13) and junior Isabella Gerone combined to allow five runs on seven hits in six innings of work
- With her hit today, sophomore Danielle Rocheleau has extended her hitting streak to seven-straight games
- Rocheleau leads them team with a .437 batting average and 26 RBI
- The Hawks' last America East series victory came in 2013 when Hartford took two of three from Maine on its way to winning 10 conference games
