LOWELL, Mass. –Hartford softball fell to UMass Lowell, 9-0, in America East action. Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomores
Danielle Rocheleau and
Kiana Harris had the only two hits as the Hawks fell to 18-25 overall and 5-10 in the America East. Briana West registered a team-high three RBI, as the River Hawks improve to 24-14 on the season and 12-0 in the conference.
UMASS LOWELL 9 HARTFORD 0
After a scoreless first inning, UMass Lowell got on the board with two runs in the bottom of the second. Marianna Sparacia ignited the scoring with a single to left field, plating Casey Harding. Christina Rizzi then pushed the lead to 2-0, lacing a triple down the right field line for the early two run advantage.
The River Hawks rattled off seven more runs, including five in the third, to wrap up the 9-0 win in five innings.
