WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Jordan McLemore scored a game-high 18 points, as the Hartford women's basketball team fell to America East foe UAlbany, 68-63, at home inside Reich Family Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Hawks fell to 0-20 on the year and 0-7 in the America East, while the Great Danes improved to 6-14 on the season and 3-4 in conference play.

Despite shooting 24 percent in the first quarter, the Hawks went into the second quarter trailing the Great Danes, 15-12, led by eight points from Jada Lucas in the period. UAlbany used the opening 2:08 of the second quarter to go on a 6-0 run to push its lead to 21-12. The Hawks responded with a 9-0 run of their own to tie the contest at 21-21 with with 3:00 to go before the half. However, the Great Danes used the final 1:47 of the half to outscore the Hawks, 5-2, to take a 26-23 lead into the break.
UAlbany used the first 5:30 of the half to go on a 12-5, pushing its lead to 38-28 midway through the third quarter. The Hawks were able to cut the deficit to single-digits heading into the fourth quarter trailing, 46-38. Hartford opened the fourth quarter with a 9-2 run to cut the deficit to 48-47 with 5:37 to go in regulation.
However, UAlbany responded with a 10-2 run to take a 58-49 lead with 3:02 left in the contest. The deficit proved to be too much for the Hawks, as they eventually fell to the Great Danes, 68-63.
