Wade Tucker has been a staple on Hartford's defense for the past three seasons, starting all but one game for the Hawks in that time. He tied for the team lead in caused turnovers with 11 during his sophomore season (2019) and was selected as a team captain in his junior season (2020).

Tucker has excelled in the classroom, earning three consecutive spots on the America East 
Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.5+ GPA). The accounting major hopes to become a partner at one of the "Big Four" accounting firms in the future and potentially open his own business. 
 
As a two-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, Tucker has worked on service projects such as the America East Food Frenzy, which delivers canned goods to families in need in the Greater Hartford area.

"My proudest athletic moment as a Hawk came during the Dartmouth game in 2019. It was snowing, hailing and raining throughout the game, but we were able to fight through and win in the final seconds of the game."

About Wade: Wade is an outstanding teammate and young man. He has gotten the job done on and off the field during his entire career here at Hartford. He is a player that his teammates can always count on and rely on.

2020-21 Goals: We are striving to become the most cohesive team we possibly can, despite all the challenges of 2020. We will make the most of each day and get one percent better every day!
 
Off-Season Conditioning Tips: Couple morning runs with body weight work outs. Follow a healthy diet (avoid eating after 8:00 p.m.) and make time to stretch!
