Wade Nets Career-High 14 Points as Women's Hoops Falls to UAlbany on the Road

ALBANY, N.Y. —  Azariah Wade scored a career-high 14 points, as the Hartford women's basketball team fell to America East foe UAlbany on the road, 63-40, inside SEFCU Arena  on Wednesday evening. With the loss, the Hawks fell to 0-25 on the year and 0-12 in the America East, while the Great Danes improved to 9-15 on the season and 5-6 in conference play.

UALBANY 63, HARTFORD 40
The Great Danes used the opening 4:41 to open up a 10-0 lead over the Hawks and eventually carried an 18-4 lead into the second quarter. Hartford opened the second with a 7-3 run to cut the deficit to 21-11 with 7:31 to go before the break. However, the Great Danes used the final 6:45 to outscore the Hawks, 14-7, to take a 35-18 lead into the half.

UAlbany kept its foot on the gas, using a 15-2 run to open up a 30-point lead over Hartford with four minutes left in the third quarter. The Hawks responded by closing the third with a 10-4 run to trim the deficit to 54-30 entering the fourth quarter. Hartford used the opening 4:54 of the fourth quarter to go on a 10-1 run, cutting the deficit to 16 midway through the fourth. However, the deficit ultimately proved to be too much for the Hawks, as they eventually fell, 63-40.
