WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Jada Lucas tied her career-high of 21 points, as the Hartford women's basketball team narrowly fell to America East foe New Hampshire at home, 64-55, inside the Reich Family Pavilion in the Hawks' on Wednesday afternoon. With the loss, the Hawks fell to 0-27 on the year and 0-14 in the America East, while the Wildcats improved to 9-16 on the season and 6-7 in conference play.

Trailing 11-8 in the first quarter, the Hawks used the final 2:14 of the period to go on a 9-3 run to take a 17-14 lead into the second quarter. New Hampshire used the first 2:53 of the second to go on a 9-4 run to take a 23-21 lead. Trailing 26-23, Hartford used the final 5:44 of the half to outscore New Hampshire, 8-4, to take a 31-30 lead into the break.
The Wildcats used the first five minutes of the second half to go on an 11-5 run, taking a 41-36 lead midway through the third quarter. After the Hawks cut the deficit to three, the Wildcats used the final 1:40 of the quarter to outscore the Hawks, 6-2, to take a 50-43 lead into the fourth quarter. New Hampshire kept its foot on the gas, opening the fourth with a 7-0 run to push its lead to 14, its largest of the second half. The deficit proved to be too much for the Hawks, as they eventually fell, 64-59.
