WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Carmen Villalobos led the Hawks with 14 points and nine rebounds, as the Hartford women's basketball team fell to America East foe Binghamton at home, 78-65, inside the Reich Family Pavilion in the Hawks' on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Hawks fell to 0-28 on the year and 0-15 in the America East, while the Bearcats improved to 19-8 on the season and 8-6 in conference play.

Despite being held to 27 percent shooting in the first quarter, the Hawks went into the second quarter trailing the Bearcats, 15-12. After Hartford scored four straight points to open the second quarter, Binghamton responded with a 22-9 run to take a 37-25 lead into the break.
After the Hawks cut the deficit to 11 in the third quarter, the Bearcats responded with a 14-4 run to push their lead to 21, its largest of the second-half before taking a 60-41 lead into the fourth quarter. Trailing 63-44, the Hawks went on an 18-7 run, cutting the deficit to 70-62 with 2:23 to go. However Binghamton outscored Hartford, 8-3, the rest of the way to hang on for the 78-65 victory.
