DeMartino Homers in Baseball's 6-2 Road Win Over North Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Junior Drew DeMartino went 2-for-4 with a homerun, as Hartford baseball defeated North Florida on the road, 6-_2, on Friday evening at Harmon Stadium.

Zachary Ardito and Tyler Coppo drove in a run apiece as the Hawks improved to 2-2 on the season with the win, while the Ospreys fell to 2-6 with the loss.
 
HARTFORD 6 NORTH FLORIDA 2 
Hartford struck first after John Thrasher stole home in a double-steal attempt to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Holding a 2-0 lead entering the third, DeMartino led off with a solo homer to right center to push the Hartford lead to 3-0. 

The Hawks pushed two runs across in the fifth, capped by an Ardito RBI single. Coppo followed in the seventh inning with an RBI double to give Hartford a commanding 6-0 lead. The Ospreys pushed a run across in the seventh and eighth, but couldn't cut the gap and eventually fell to the Hawks, 6-2.
