Hartford improves to 1-7 on the season while St. Francis, which received 13 points off the bench from Trey Quartlebaum, falls to 0-8.

A 22-5 run over a nine-minute stretch in the first half broke open a 4-4 tie and gave the Hawks a comfortable 26-9 lead with 8:43 to go. St. Francis managed to trim the deficit down to seven at 30-23 with 3:04 left, but the Hawks, who shot 60.0 percent in the opening stanza, scored seven of the final nine points of the half to take a 35-25 advantage into intermission.
Hartford, which never trailed in the game, continued to dominate in the second half. Going 14-of-24 from the floor (58.3%), the Hawks opened up a 20-point lead at 57-37 with 10:43 when Flowers capped an 11-1 run with a three-point play. St. Francis managed to slash its deficit in half, as back-to-back threes by Quartlebaum fueled a 12-2 spurt that closed the gap to 59-49 with 5:13 remaining, but Hartford's defense would hold the Terriers to just two field goals over the game's final 4:14 to seal the victory.
INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES
- The Hawks were unstoppable from inside the three-point line, going 25-of-33 for 75.8 percent
- Defensively, Hartford held St. Francis to just 29.2 percent shooting (21-of-72), including a 21.4 percent clip from long range (6-of-28)
- Williams had a hot hand from the field, going 10-of-13 for 76.9 percent
- He pushed his career point total to 750 after his game-high scoring output on Sunday
- Flowers also shot the ball well, making 6-of-8 (75.0%) shots for 14 points
- Behind a 60 percent effort from the field (6-of-10), including a 2-of-4 clip from three, Marks tallied 16 points
- Marks added 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season, and sixth of his career
- Shriver pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds as Hartford held a commanding 45-30 advantage on the boards
- The Terriers forced 24 Hawks' turnovers and committed just nine
- In his return from injury, senior Jared Kimbrough scored four points in 11 minutes
- The Hawks bucked a two-game skid against the Terriers and improved to 6-5 in the all-time series with the win
