WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – Hartford volleyball took down the Eastern Connecticut Warriors 3-1 (25-19, 17-25, 25-9, 27-25) Thursday night at Chase Arena.
Freshman outside hitter Isabella Labrada served three aces, notched 15 kills and contributed on two blocks. The Dallas, Texas native also produced six digs.
Both setters kept busy combining for 45 total assists. Senior setter Lika Nkenchor contributed 25 assists in addition to seven digs, six kills and two service aces. Freshman setter Kylee Connally also contributed two service aces in addition to her 20 assists and six digs.
Senior outside hitter Greta De Gasper had a busy night, providing balance for the team. When De Gasper wasn't hitting the floor for one of her 17 digs, she was launching spikes into Eastern Connecticut territory for one of her 20 kills.
Senior middle blocker Sara Gasparotto also had a quality night with three blocks, four kills and two digs.
With the victory, Hartford now improves to 2-1 at home with a 2-17 record overall. Eastern Connecticut falls to 11-5 on their season.
Hartford now has a quick turnaround as the Hawks take on American International College 7 p.m. Saturday in the Hartford Volleyball Gym. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The match will be streamed live on Hartford Hawks All-Access
