WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Hartford volleyball dropped a three-set match (14-25, 16-25, 17-25) to NJIT Tuesday night in the Hartford Volleyball Gym.

Senior setter Lika Nkenchor notched a double-double with 10 kills and 11 assists. The Ashburn, Va. native also produced seven digs and a block.

Senior outside hitter Greta De Gasper led the team with 14 digs and also produced six kills. De Gasper served two services aces during a 4-0 run in the first set.

Freshman setter Kylee Connally and senior middle blocker Sara Gasparotto also had notable performances. Connally set up teammates for 11 assists while Gasparotto accumulated four blocks.

NJIT now improves to 7-16 while Hartford falls to 2-19.

Hartford now hits the road for two games. The Hawks next match will be against Sthonehill 7 p.m. Oct. 22 in North Easton, Mass. The next home match will be 6 p.m. Nov. 2 when the Bryant Bulldogs enter the Hartford Volleyball Gym.
