WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – After picking up their first victory of the season, the Hartford Hawks volleyball team makes a short trip to Fairfield, Conn. seeking to begin a winning streak. Hartford will play at Sacred Heart 4 p.m. Sunday at the William H. Pitt Center.
Hartford is looking to build on a five-set victory over Stonehill Wednesday night when senior outside hitter
Greta De Gasper led the way with 22 digs and 14 kills. During that same night, junior outside hitter
Uzezi Ijoma produced a season high 16.5 points, included five blocks. She also notched 12 digs and two service aces. All of which, are season highs.
Freshman setter Kylee Connally also put in a lot of effort, setting up teammates with 24 assists. It was a massive victory and could be a turning point in the team's season.
Sacred Heart lost their most recent matchup at CCSU, but is 4-1 when playing in front of their home crowd.
The match will be streamed live on NEC Front Row. Hartford looks to continue its winning ways 4 p.m. Sunday at the William H. Pitt Center in Fairfield, Conn.
