HAMDEN, Conn. – Sophomore
Nayeli Dowding tallied a career-high 11 points as the Hawks fell to Quinnipiac, 85-30 on Monday night. Hartford fell to 0-2 on the young season, while the Bobcats improved to 2-1.

Quinnipiac opened the game on a 7-2 run to take the early advantage. The Hawks fought back, cutting the deficit to three when junior
Kymilondra Nance converted on two of her three free throws after drawing a foul beyond the arc. The Bobcats would utilize a 13-0 run to regain a 20-4 lead.
Quinnipiac keep its momentum going in the second quarter and took a 51-15 advantage into the halftime break. The Bobcats extended their advantage to as much as 53 heading into the fourth quarter.
