WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Hartford men's basketball team knocked off FDU-Florham 82-45 to pick up its third consecutive home victory Tuesday night. The game was tight early on, with the Devils holding a 14-12 edge midway through the first half. Hartford (3-3) responded with an 18-0 run before halftime, taking a 35-20 lead into the break, and never looked back. All three of the Hawks' victories have come by more than 35 points.

Following a similar script to Saturday's victory against Houghton, the Hawks took advantage of a pair of lengthy runs to break the game open. Hartford went on an 18-0 rally spanning more than eight minutes in the first half and put together a 19-0 run over a seven-minute stretch last in the game.

Braxton Jones led all scorers with a career-best 24 points on 8-of-14 (.571) shooting. Jones went 7-for-11 (.636) from behind the 3-point line, adding a career-high seven rebounds. Graduate

Matt Hobbs finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Junior Matthew Johnson netted 12 points to lead the Devils, who got nine points each from Brian Nichols and Andre Macaranas.
