Zaiha Minnis dropped a career-high 12 points as the Hartford Women's Basketball team fell, 88-34, at Rhode Island Wednesday. The Hawks drop to 0-10 on the season, while the Rams improve to 8-1 on the year.
RHODE ISLAND 88, HARTFORD 34
Rhode Island jumped to an early lead over Hartford, starting the game on a 10-2 run. The Rams would take a 21-7 lead into the first break before opening up a 28-point 43-15 lead heading into the halftime break.
URI opened up the second half on 13-2 run to take a commanding 56-17 advantage with 3:59 left in the third quarter. The Rams kept their momentum going into the fourth and final quarter, as the deficit proved too much for the Hawks, as they eventually fell, 88-34.
