WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Senior
Lya Farcy dished out a season-high 10 assists as the Hartford women's basketball team fell, 95-69, to Stony Brook on Senior Day. The Hawks fall to 2-23 overall and 2-12 in conference play. Stony Brook, who were led by 19 points from India Pagan, improves to 23-3 overall and 14-2 in the America East.

Stony Brook started the game strong, opening up a 6-2 lead. The Hawks would cut the Seawolves momentum as an
Abby Streeter three pulled the Hawks within one, before a
Sierra Smith layup gave the Hawks a 7-6 lead at the 6:54 mark. Villalobos extended Hartford's lead a few moments later, but Stony Brook would tie the game at 11-11 with 4:36 remaining. The Seawolves used a 7-2 run to further the gap, but Villalobos hit a triple, cutting Stony Brook's momentum and pulling the Hawks within two, 18-16. However Stony Brook would end the first quarter up 22-18. The Seawolves carried it's momentum in to the second quarter, opening up on a 4-0 run. Villalobos would cut the early momentum short with a made layup, but Stony Brook later took a double-digit lead, 30-20, at the 7:56 mark. The two sides traded baskets, as Streeter drained a pair of three's pulling the Hawks back within seven, 37-30. The Seawolves would lead by as much as 13 in the second quarter, but a late Villalobos three saw the Hawks enter the halftime break down, 47-38.
The two teams went back-and-forth to start the second half, as the Hawks pulled within six, 51-45, after a Maurina jumper. However, Stony Brook utilized a 7-0 run to retake a double-digit advantage. The Seawolves continued to pull away, taking a 76-56 advantage into the fourth quarter. The deficit proved too much for the Hawks to overcome, as they dropped a 95-69 decision.
