ALBANY, N.Y. — Senior
Lya Farcy led the Hawks with a team-high six points as the Hartford women's basketball team fell, 53-24, at UAlbany on Saturday afternoon. Hartford drops to 2-17 overall and 2-6 in conference play while the Great Danes improve to 16-6 overall and 9-2 in the America East.

The Hawks took an early lead in the first after a
Brianna Williams jumped opened the game. UAlbany would use a 5-0 run to establish a lead before a
Paula Maurina jumper cut the Hawks deficit to 5-4. The Hawks would go cold for the rest of the first as UAlbany took a 12-6 lead into the second quarter. Hartford would fight back in the opening portion of the second quarter. A 4-1 run, capped off by a
Lya Farcy layup, trimmed UAlbany's advantage to 13-10. The Great Danes would respond with a 7-0 run of their own, extending its lead to 10, before entering the halftime break with a 25-14 lead.
The Hawks went cold in the third quarter as UAlbany limited Hartford to four points, taking a 36-18 advantage into the fourth quarter. The deficit proved to be too much, as UAlbany took home a 53-24 victory.
