WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – Hartford volleyball continues its 15-match road trip with a doubleheader at LIU starting 11 a.m. Saturday at the Steinberg Wellness Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Leading the charge for the Hawks (0-11) is junior outside hitter Uzezi Ijoma, whose racked up 88 points this season. Ijoma is coming off a performance against CCSU in which she posted a .714 hitting percentage in the first set. Ijoma strikes a balance off offense and defense as she leads the team with 78 kills and is second with 14 blocks.
Senior outside hitter Greta De Gasper leads the team in two categories with 84 digs and six service aces. Tied with her for the lead in service aces is another team leader, senior setter Lika Nkenchor. At 113 assists, Nkenchor has a knack for helping her teammates spike the ball into the opposing team's territory.

LIU enters the match at 3-7, having just snapped a five-match skid with a sweep of Manhattan. It was the Sharks home opener for the 2022 slate.
Game one of the doubleheader is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Steinberg Wellness Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Game two is scheduled for a 4 p.m. first serve. Both matches can be streamed live on NEC Front Row.
