Hawks Host Stonehill In Home Opener

After 15 Road Matches, It's "Home, Sweet Home" For Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – After 15 matches on the road to start the 2022 season, Hartford volleyball gets to play in the friendly confines of Chase Arena. The Hawks will host Stonehill 7 p.m. Wednesday night in what will be the home debut for seven freshman.
Hartford enters the match let by junior outside hitter Uzezi Ijoma, who leads the team with 96 kills. Offense isn't the only name to her game though. Ijoma is second on the team with 18 blocks, only behind senior middle blocker Sara Gasparotto, whose amassed 22 blocks.
Another household name for Hartford is senior outside hitter Greta De Gasper, who leads the team with 103 digs. De Gasper also is tied for the team lead with seven service aces. The other player with seven service aces is senior setter Lika Nkenchor, who leads the team with 137 assists.
The Hawks will be home, sweet home when they host Stonehill 7 p.m. Wednesday night in Chase Arena.
