Hawks Are Victorious In Home Opener

Hartford Takes Down Stonehill In Front Of A Raucous Crowd

Box Score WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – Hartford volleyball opened up its home season with a five-set victory Wednesday night in front of a raucous crowd at Chase Arena.
The Hawks took the first set 25-21. After dropping the next two sets 20-25 and 28-30, Hartford stormed back to take set four 25-23. In set five, the Hawks saw themselves with an early deficit, but came from behind to win 15-12.
The victory provides Hartford with an undefeated record at home after 15 road games to start the season. It is also the team's first victory of the year.
After a thrilling victory at home, Hartford hits the road again. The Hawks travel to Fairfield, Conn. where they will take on the Sacred Heart Pioneers 4 p.m. Sunday at the William H. Pitt Center.
