WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – Hartford volleyball looks to knock Boston College from the ranks of the unbeatens when they travel to the Conte Forum 7 p.m. Wednesday night in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
The Hawks (0-6) will be lead by senior outside hitter Greta De Gaspar, who leads the team in multiple categories. De Gasper tops Hartford with 50 digs and is tied for the most service aces with four. She is also second on the team with 30 kills and third with six assists.
Also leading the charge will be senior setter
Lika Nkenchor. The Ashburn, Va. native produced a career high four service aces in the most recent match against Delaware State. She leads the team with 64 assists and has also added 27 digs plus three blocks.
Defensively, senior middle blocker
Sara Gasparotto and junior outside hitter
Uzezi Ijoma have amassed eight blocks apiece. Ijoma also leads the team with 38 kills.
Although Boston College (6-0) has yet to crack the AVCA Top 25, they've proven to be a tough opponent. The Eagles have dropped two of the 20 sets they've played, sweeping four of their six opponents.
Hartford looks to break Boston College's undefeated run 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The match will be streamed live on the ACC Network Extra (ACCNX).
