MSOC Plays Tight Final Game of the Year

The University of Hartford men's soccer team fought hard in their last game of the season, falling to Commonwealth Coast Conference regular season champion Western New England University, 1-0, Tuesday at Al-Marzook Field.

It marked the final games in the careers of Alex Quinones, Trey Sadler, and Nate Becher


The Hawks gave the CCC champions a run for their money, but the Golden Bears tallied the game-winning goal in the 75th minute. Hartford had several opportunities to net the equalizing goal, the best chance coming as Quinones' header grazed the crossbar in the 89th minute.

  • Six different Hawks took a shot today, led by Kellijah Morgan, who launched three shots—all three were on goal. Six of Hartford's shots were on goal.
  • Sophomore Ryan Lunn played the full 90 minutes and made eight saves on nine shots. 
  • Western New England outshot the Hawks, 16-10, in the contest.
