CHICAGO, Ill. – The University of Hartford volleyball team concluded the 2023 season with a straight-set loss (25-10, 25-17, 25-19) to Division I Chicago State Sunday inside the Jones Convocation Center.
Freshman
Zahara Quraishi led the team with seven kills and 11 digs, while sophomore
Isabella Labrada added six kills. Freshman
Liahnna Orange finished with a team-high eight assists and sophomore
Kylee Connally contributed seven assists.
At the net, freshman
Jenna Murphy was a force with one solo block and seven block assists. With 1.0 blocks per set, Murphy finished the season leading the Commonwealth Coast Conference in blocks.
INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES
- It marked the final collegiate games for senior Kionah Thomas and graduate Hannah Pena.
- Quraishi finished the season with 226 kills and was second in the CCC with 3.70 kills per game. She was also second in the CCC with 4.26 points per set.
Hartford finished the season 6-11 overall.
