Double-double for Pavlidis

Box Score MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Hartford men's basketball team fell to South Alabama 77-53 Monday at the Mitchell Center.

The Hawks never led in the game, and South Alabama used a 9-0 run midway through the first half to take a double-figure lead. Hartford cut its deficit to below 10 on several occasions down the stretch but trailed by 11 at the break.

Cold shooting to start the second half hampered the ability to get closer as Hartford was made just two of the first 15 second-half shots. Midway through the second half, the Hawks deficit grew to as much as 20.

Pano Pavlidis recorded his first double-double in a Hartford uniform with 12 points and a career-high tying 11 rebounds. It was just the second time he has pulled down at least 10 boards. Kurtis Henderson added 12 points, three rebounds, and a pair of assists. Briggs McClain finished with 10 points.
