Hawks fall on Senior Day

Box Score The University of Hartford men's basketball team dropped a 62-49 game to Chicago State Saturday inside the Reich Family Arena. 

Trailing by as much as 16 early in the second half, the Hawks went on a 15-2 run that trimmed the deficit to just three points. Three different Hartford players – Kurtis Henderson (six points), Briggs McClain (five points), and Pano Pavlidis (four points) - found the box score during the spurt. 

Hartford couldn't pull even and eventually, the Cougars gradually pulled away as Hartford made just two of its last nine shots. 

McClain finished with 13 points, while Pavlidis added 12 points and Henderson 10 points. 

INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES
  • Eight of the nine players who played scored in the contest. It's just the second time this season Michael Dunne was held scoreless. Despite not finding the scorebook, Dunne led the team with seven points and six assists.
  • Second time this season Pavlidis fouled out, picking up his fifth foul with less than two minutes remaining. 
  • For the fifth time this season Hartford made less than 50 percent of its free throws, including four of the last five games.
  • The 49 points were the lowest-scoring output of the season for the Hawks.
