WASHINGTON D.C. – The Hartford baseball team dropped its series finale to Georgetown, 10-0, on Sunday. The Hawks fall to 1-5 on the young season, while the Hoyas improve to 10-6 on the year.

Hartford's ace
Edwin Almanzar Jr. and Georgetown's starter Jake Bloss were locked in an intense pitcher's duel through the first six innings. With only three hits on the board through six full, the Hoyas would get the scoring started in the bottom of the seventh, taking the first lead of the game at 2-0. Georgetown would tack on eight more runs in the eighth to take a commanding 10-0 lead into the ninth inning. The deficit grew too much for Hartford to overcome, as the Hawks eventually fell to the Hoyas, 10-0.
