BROOKLINE, Mass. – The Hartford baseball team dropped its series opener to Northeastern, 14-0, on Friday. With the loss, the Hawks fell to 1-10 on the season, while the Huskies improve to 15-4 with the win.

After both
Alec Couture and the Northeastern starter kept both offenses off the board through the first two innings, the Huskies would take the first lead of the game at 1-0 in bottom of the third. Northeastern added to its advantage after scoring a combined 10 runs in the fifth and sixth innings, before extending its lead once again in the eighth and eventually earning the victory.
