BROOKLINE, Mass. – The Hartford baseball team dropped its series opener to Northeastern, 14-0, on Friday. With the loss, the Hawks fell to 1-10 on the season, while the Huskies improve to 15-4 with the win.
 
NORTHEASTERN 14, HARTFORD 0
After both Alec Couture and the Northeastern starter kept both offenses off the board through the first two innings, the Huskies would take the first lead of the game at 1-0 in bottom of the third. Northeastern added to its advantage after scoring a combined 10 runs in the fifth and sixth innings, before extending its lead once again in the eighth and eventually earning the victory.

• Martin Chavarria and Ryan Knight picked up a hit apiece in the loss.
• JJ Romatzick, Devin Kellogg, and Noah Rivera each drew a walk in the contest.
• Couture (0-3) took the loss after giving up five earned runs in the start.

• Luke Rier, Dyllon King, and Michael Featherstone each made appearances in relief.
