WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Hartford women's lacrosse team dropped its 2023 regular season finale to Southern Connecticut State, 18-5, on Tuesday. The Hawks end the regular season with a 6-5 record while the Owls improve to 8-6 on the year.

Emily Steele got the scoring started at the 11:51 mark of the opening quarter, SCSU would respond with a 4-1 scoring run to take a 5-2 lead into the second quarter. The Owls offense would pour on the scoring in the second outscoring the Hawks 6-0 in the frame to take a 10-2 lead into the halftime break.
Coming out into the second half of action, SCSU continued their momentum extending their lead to 14-3 heading into the fourth and final quarter. Despite trading goals through the opening minutes of the fourth, the Hawks would eventually fall to the Owls, 18-5.
