HAMDEN, Conn. – The Hartford baseball team wrapped up its 2023 season on Sunday against Quinnipiac. With the result, the Hawks end the year with a 4-33 overall record, while the Bobcats improve to 21-24 on the season.

After the Hawks took an early lead in the top of the first off three-straight singles from
Martin Chavarria,
Devin Kellogg, and
Noah Rivera, the Bobcats would pour on the scoring. Quinnipiac plated eight runs in the second to jump out to a commanding 8-1 lead. Hartford would pull two runs back in the third inning after back-to-back RBI base knocks from
Harrison Engstrom and
Tyler Holmes. However, the Bobcats continued their early momentum scoring a run in the fifth and seven more in the seventh to take the series finale, 21-4.

- Joe Dooley (0-1) got the start and picked up the loss after allowing five earned runs over 1.2 innings of work.
- Derek Benzinger, Joey Acla, and Christian Krause all pitched in relief for the Hawks.
- Kellogg ended the season on an 11-game hitting streak after going 2-for-5 at the plate.
