Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Simeone scores in MSOC loss

The University of Hartford men's soccer team lost another close match to Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Suffolk, 2-1, Saturday at Al-Marzook Field.

Freshman Daniele Simeone capped off a pressure-packed possession with a goal in the 52nd minute. He started the pressure with a shot that was knocked down by the Suffolk keeper, and rebounded to teammate Nicholas Castrovinci – who had his shot saved and the ball fell to the feet of Simeone, who found the back of the net.

It was the only second-half goal scored in the game as the Hawks controlled the second 40 minutes.

Suffolk did all of their scoring with a pair of goals in a four-minute span in the latter parts of the first half.
