Shots from the Bison came around the 13th minute, but junior Ryan Lunn (Southington, Conn.) made the saves. Nichols took 12 shots in the first with eight on target. In the 38th minute the Hawks took the lead as senior Kellijah Morgan (Kingston, Jamaica) found the back of the net with sophomore Austin Murawski (Rocky Hill, Conn.) providing the assist.
  • Early in the second half, Hartford extended their lead with a goal from junior Nick Castrovinci (Roxbury, N.J.), assisted by Morgan. Just before that, junior Jack Merrill (Newton, N.J.) and Morgan both traded close shots. Timothy Garcia and William Pugliese-Savage of Nichols both struck shots saved by Lunn. A free kick from the Hawks led to another goal this time by Murawski, with Morgan providing another assist. The game was firmly in Hartford's control, and Murawski sealed the deal with a low shot in the 85th minute, putting the Hawks up 4-0 to close the game.
