Freshmen
Adrianna McCoy and
Ella Marchesani combined for 25 points as the University of Hartford women's basketball team fell to Commonwealth Coast Conference foe University of New England Saturday, 60-39, inside the Chase Family Arena at Reich Family Pavilion.
McCoy finished with 15 points, seven coming from the free throw line and Marchesani chipped in with 10 points in just 16 minutes.
It marked the final home game for senior
Lenaijah Ferguson, who tied a career-high with seven rebounds in 16 minutes of action.
UNE opened up the game by scoring nine straight points near the end of the third quarter to push the Hartford deficit to 18 points. It was part of a 21-2 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters.

- McCoy reached double figures 19 times in her freshman season, while Marchesani achieved the feat 11 times.
- McCoy tied a season-high with seven free throws made.

Hartford (10-14 overall, 6-11 CCC opponents) travels to Wentworth Tuesday for a game originally scheduled for December 5. Hartford claimed the first meeting, 71-29, on January 27.
