FLEMING ISLAND, Fla.- The University of Hartford Women's Golf team finished eighth in the two-day Sacred Heart Spring Break Invitational with a final score of 656, competing against eight teams at the Eagle Harbor Golf Club in Fleming Island, Fla.

Junior Madeline Adam finished in a tie for 23rd at 13-over 157, including a final round of 80 which included 11 pars
Lilly Moreau finished next for the Hawks, recording 16-over 160, placing her tied for 31st. Moreau's second round included 10 pars and three birdies. In the first round she got one on both the seventh and ninth holes, and in the second round she recorded just one in the ninth hole.
Sacred Heart, Merrimack, Ferris State, Monmouth, Fairfield, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Saint Francis were among the other schools that competed in the tournament. Sacred Heart placed first overall 10-over 568, with two players tying for first while another tied for third.
DAY ONE HIGHLIGHTS & NOTES: Women's golf
- The Hartford women's golf team finished the first day of the Sacred Heart Spring Break Invitational in seventh place out of eight teams, posting a score of 383-over-26. Adam, who finished day one, tied for 18th with a five-over 77. She had three birdies, starting strong with her first on the opening hole and adding to her tally on the ninth and 14th hole.
- Following Adam is Moreau, tied for 23rd after the first round with a score of 79. Moreau finished with two birdies, securing one on the seventh hole and another on the ninth.

The Women's golf team will return to play on April 7th for the two-day Fairleigh Dickinson Invitational in Hamburg, NJ.
