MLAX Falls To Gordon

WENHAM, Mass. - Freshmen Nicholas Forgione and Ethan Hunt each notched three goals as the University of Hartford men's lacrosse team fell to Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Gordon College, 11-10, at Brigham Athletic Complex.

Forgione scored in the first, second, and third periods, while Hunt scored in the first and twice in the fourth period.

Hartford began the first period with a 2-2 tie, The Fighting Scots then took control of the game scoring four goals in the second period to lead 6-4 at half. The Hawks were able to close the gap by a goal at the onset of the fourth period, but ultimately fell 11-10 in the final minutes of the game. 

 

INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES

  • Hartford finished with 38 shots, 28 of which were on goal, while Gordon had 38 shots with 23 on goal.

  • Hartford finished with seven assists on 10 goals, while Gordon had six assists on 11 goals. 

  • Junior Griffin Weller registered a pair of goals.

  • Graduate Jake Ojert and sophomore Aidan Kemp each notched a goal and two assists.

  • The Hawks were 17-of-20 in clear attempts, while the Eagles were 13-of-20 in clear attempts.

  • Sophomore Andrew Leibold registered 12 saves.
