PORTSMOUTH, R.I. - The University of Hartford men's golf team continued their winning streak by securing their second consecutive tournament victory Tuesday at the Roger Williams Spring Invitational at the two-day event with a 25-over 593 at both the Green Valley golf course and The Aquidneck Club.

Senior Michael Amari led the charge, winning the tournament with a score of two-over 144, carding 72 in the first and second rounds with three total birdies. Junior Bryce Zimmerman came in second place, one stroke behind Amari, with a three-over 145, He recorded a team-best of six birdies, four of which came from the second round.
Junior Austin Gambel finished eight-over 150, tying for sixth place with two birdies, while senior Turner Wegner tied for 12th place with a score of 13-over 155, carding two birdies in the second round. Graduate student Manny Romero rounded out the scoring, tying for 18th place, finishing with a score of 16-over 158, carding four birdies all in the second round.
Senior John Guerrea, who didn't count toward the team totals, shot a nine-over 151 with a pair of birdies to placed eighth overall.
Eastern Connecticut State, Roger Williams University, Suffolk University, SUNY Old Westbury, Salem State University, Endicott College, and Springfield College were among the other schools that competed in the tournament.
