HEBRON, Conn. - The Hartford Men's Golf team will host and participate in the Conference of New England Championship at Blackledge Country Club in Hebron, Conn on Saturday Oct. 3rd, and Sunday Oct. 4th.

The Hawks kicked off the season placing seventh out of eleven teams, in the Red Bandanna Invitational hosted by Boston College, freshman Justin Crossen (Wethersfield, Conn.) would place in the top 20 of this event with a low of 74 (+2).

The Hawks would next play in the George Cangero invitational hosted by Farmingdale State University. Sophomores Tim Kaley (Dalton, Mass.) and Griffin La Londe (Montclair, N.J.) would tie for 23rd in this event with a 78 (+6).\

Hartford's most recent outing was the Williams College Invitational in which they placed 9th out of 17 teams, as La Londe would shoot a 75 (+4) in two of his three rounds and placed 25th.

The Hawks are coming off a Conference of New England Championship win in 2025, which gave them an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship last season.

"Our players, as well as the other conference teams have all played a busy summer tournament schedule leading into the fall season, so everyone should be sharp at this point of the year. We've played three tournaments so far on very difficult golf courses and I think it's helped us to prepare the players well for this weekend. It's just a matter of putting it all together this weekend, and playing two good rounds. I'm excited to see how the weekend plays out." Head Coach Pete Stankevich said.

"I'm definitely excited to have the opportunity to compete for another conference championship, and earn a spot in the national championship. We have played a very tough schedule to start the year at some very difficult courses, which has prepared us well. Each week we have gotten better as a team and we are fully prepared to compete for another conference title this weekend." La Londe said.

"I'm most excited to make a run for the conference with the guys we have here. We feel like we have some momentum from last year and are looking to keep it going. The last few tournaments we've learned a lot and played some tough courses so I think we are well prepared for this weekend." Kaley said.
