HARTFORD, Conn.: The University of Hartford men's golf team competed in the two-day Bill Detrick/ Trinity Spring Invitational, finishing in 2nd place with a score of 29-over 589 at the challenging Keney Park Golf Course.
INDIVIDUAL STATS | TEAM STATS
Senior Michael Amari tied for fourth place to lead the Hawks with a score of five-over 145. His impressive performance on Sunday included an eagle on hole 14 and birdies on 5, 6, and 18.
Junior Kyle St. Pierre and senior Turner Wegener tied for seventh place, both at six-over 146. St. Pierre recorded scores of 73 in both rounds, while Wegener followed up his opening round 71 with a 75 on Sunday.
Junior Bryce Zimmerman and senior Conor Byrne tied for 13th at seven over 147, highlighted by Zimmerman's 2 under par 68 in the final round.
Trinity College, Tufts University, Western New England, Suffolk University, Albertus Magnus College, Williams College, Springfield College, Bates College, Middlebury College, Wesleyan University, and Roger Williams University were among the other schools that competed in the tournament.
Trinity College placed first overall with 25-over 585, with Cooper Yaccino winning the individual title at even par with 72-68-140.

The men's golf team will return to play April 12-13, hosting the two-day Hartford Hawks Invitational at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield.
