BLOOMFIELD, Conn. - This weekend the Hawks men's golf team finished the Gillette Ridge Invitational at the Gillette Ridge Golf Club ending up in 2nd place in the event. 

Round 1 Recap:

• Roger Williams currently leads the tournament at a score of +7, followed by Suffolk University (+21) and the University of New Haven (+22). Hartford sits in fourth place at a team score of +24.
• Senior Kyle St. Pierre (Shelton, Conn.) ended the day as the leader for the Hawks shooting 72 (E) which was good for a tie of second place result. 
• Freshman Nathan Tallinder (Madison, N.J.) was next shooting a 76 (+4) good for a share of 10th place. Freshman Ethan Archibald (Heath, Texas) followed with an 80 (+8) in the 18th spot. 
• Senior John Guerrera (Farmington, Conn.) closed out the scorers with a 84 (+12). 

Inside the Numbers:

• Ryan Dacey from Roger Williams leads the pack for the tournament shooting a 69 (-3). 

Round 2 Recap:

• Roger Williams won the event with a score of +28 in the tournament. Hartford finished in second place jumping two spots shooting a +15 on the second day to end with a +39 score. 
• Senior Kyle St. Pierre (Shelton, Conn.) was the top Hawk finishing in 5th shooting a 77 (+5) in day two of the tournament. 
• Freshman Nathan Tallinder (Madison, N.J.) jumped two spots to finish in 8th after ending day two with a 77 (+5). Senior John Guerrera (Farmington, Conn.) had a great day shooting a 72 (E) to jump up 21 spots to finish tied for 11th. 

Inside the Numbers:
Ryan Dacey ended up winning the event with an even score after both days of the tournament.

Hartford will next compete in the Northeast Elite Invitational in Williamsport, Pa. on September 28th and 29th.
